Hi, I’m Linnea! I moved to Orange County, specifically Newport Beach, almost a whole decade ago! I am now the owner of Golden Hour Skin Co. located in this beautiful city. I became an esthetician about 8 years ago to dedicate my career to helping people feel better about their skin. After a few years in the industry I found myself gravitating towards quicker services where I could meet and treat more clients in a day, so, I decided to finally open up shop offering my two favorite services: body sugaring and custom spray tans!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I grew up the only child for 5 years until my younger sister arrived on the scene and twelve years after that our baby sister arrived. Our parents split up when I was about 21 and now we have a Brady Bunch style family. My stepdad has a few kids of his own so now we have a big blended family!
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am a licensed esthetician of 8 years and I currently own Golden Hour Skin Co. I love the instant results you get when you leave my salon! By offering just two services I am able to focus on perfection and detail a little bit more which always leads to amazing results.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Mama D’s and Mutt Lynch’s are a couple of my fave restaurants but nothing could ever top Laventina’s Pizza!
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I moved from San Bernardino to Newport about 10 years ago! I started out on the Balboa Peninsula and have kinda just hopped around ever since.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Living on the Peninsula left absolutely no shortage of interesting people; I don’t think I could narrow it down to just one person! Everyone I have ever spoken to has had such an interesting story!
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I think my favorite movies of all time are Bridesmaids and Thirteenth Ghost. There are waaay too many TV shows for me to pick a favorite!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Just have fun!
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
London to visit my sister!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
How everyone comes together! There is such a strong desire to want to help each other out, even strangers will reach out in a time of need if they hear volunteers or assistance is needed.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Owning two store fronts, one in OC & one in San Diego.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A booked and busy day of clients! 10/10, no better feeling!
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My mom! Cliche, I know! But she really is the coolest. She has her masters in education and got tired of the way her school was operating so she and 5 other teachers all decided to open and operate a non profit school!
